About this site
After studying at Cambridge for four years and currently working in and living
near to the city, I decided to create a web site to show some of the beautiful
sights. Rather than create a site with static images, I decided to make it more
interactive and make a virtual tour.
In the summer of 2001 I wandered around Cambridge with my new toy, a Kodak
digital camera. I was accompanied by my long suffering wife who very conveniently
held the camera case while I took lots of snapshots! Back in the comfort of
my living room I then set my pc to work, using some intelligent stitching software
to create the panoramic images.
I decided to use the free PTViewer java
applet to display the panoramas, and I made the interactive map using Macromedia
Flash.
I plan to continue adding panoramas to the site, so that in the future most
of the city centre and near surroundings are covered.
Please use the feedback page to send me your comments...
eg. where would you like to see a panorama?
